Vibrant Morocco: Atlantic Ocean to the Sahara Desert

In January 2023, I embarked on an unforgettable travel photography journey to Morocco, a land of mesmerizing landscapes and vibrant culture. With my trusty Leica MP film camera and various film rolls, I aimed to capture the allure of this captivating country.

Starting in Rabat, the capital, I immersed myself in its rich history and explored the blend of ancient ruins and modern architecture. Casablanca, a bustling metropolis, fascinated me with its vibrant energy and iconic landmarks like the awe-inspiring Hassan II Mosque.

Seeking coastal charms, I ventured to Essaouira, a haven for artists and surfers. Its picturesque harbor, vibrant medina, and golden beaches provided endless photo opportunities.

Next, I reached Marrakesh, the crown jewel of Morocco. The bustling medinas and grand palaces offered an intoxicating blend of colors, scents, and sounds. The Djemaa el-Fna square immersed me in the vibrant chaos of Moroccan life.

Leaving the city, I delved deep into the Sahara Desert, capturing the surreal beauty of endless dunes and mesmerizing sunsets. Guided by Berber nomads, I witnessed the vastness and tranquility of this untouched wilderness.

In Fes, an ancient city steeped in tradition, I navigated labyrinthine streets, capturing the intricate architecture and vibrant marketplaces that reflect Moroccan life.

Chefchaouen, the enchanting blue city nestled in the Rif Mountains, offered a dreamlike atmosphere with its maze-like streets and blue-washed buildings, a photographer's paradise.

Tangier and Asilah provided a serene and picturesque interlude with their coastal charms and bohemian vibes. After an extraordinary exploration, I flew back to Sofia, carrying memories etched on film and a heart filled with gratitude.

Morocco's rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and warm hospitality have left an everlasting impression on my soul. Through my travel photography, I aim to share the captivating allure of this magical destination, inviting others to embark on their own immersive journey through Morocco's captivating cities and breathtaking natural wonders.
