Street Photography across Uzbekistan

Uzbek Taxi Driver, Apr 2022, Leica MP, CineStill 50D

I got lucky!

In April 2022, fortune smiled upon me, granting me the opportunity to embark on a captivating journey across several "stan" countries. Naturally, Uzbekistan emerged as an irresistible destination. Equipped with my Leica MP camera and an array of film rolls, I yearned to document the breadth of my experience. From the bustling streets of Tashkent to the historical marvels of Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, each location unfurled an extraordinary chapter, unveiling the vibrant culture and captivating street life that define Uzbekistan.

My curiosity brought me also to Nukus—a small town that once thrived on the shores of the Aral Sea, now bearing the appearance of a barren lunar landscape.

Here are some of the pictures I took during that trip.
