Here is how i rate my Bistritsa (Sofia) Run Track:
- Difficulty: Very Hard (Easy,Intermediate, Advanced, Very Hard, Madness)
in some part the elevation is 8% which is madness...
- Scenery: 4 (out of 5)
beautiful view from Vitosha mountain above Sofia City
- Distance: 12km, but it's very easy to extend to 100+km without making a single lap. Also it's very easy to include ascends & descends.
- Popularity: 3 (out of 5)
You will see lots of locals coming to enjoy an early run ONLY during the weekend, especially in the Spring & Summer
- Location & Access: 3 (out of 5) The trail is part of Vitosha National Park. You have 2 options how to get there...by public bus or by car.
- Safety: 4 (out of 5) There are plenty of marks indicationg the Vitosha Trail Run. So it's hard to get lost. However, at night i will not recommend to run because the track will not be lit.
This was part of the open training organized by DISL. We were 10 people who decide to run spend a Sunday morning during the winter running. You can read more here
OVERALL RATING: 3.8 (out of 5)
