The Jökulsárgljúfur Canyon

Georgi & Hafragilsfoss waterfall, Iceland

Jökulságljúfur Canyon [ˈjœːkʏlsˌaurˌkljuː(v)ʏr̥].

I was sweating just saying that name. And even more so when I stood on the edge of the canyon and looked into the abyss. Millions of years ago, one Tuesday the tectonic plates shifted and it was formed. On one side is Europe, and on the opposite side begins America.

A few days ago, a friend asked me for advice on what to do in Iceland for 5 days. And I immediately thought of the two waterfalls Hafragilsfoss and Dettifoss in the Jökulságljúfur canyon.

Here are a few of the pictures shot with LeicaMP & Kodak Portra 400.
