WHAT IS THEIR PHILOSOPHY OF LIfE
"TIME CAN'T WAIT. IT GOES AND GOES COMPLETELY"
Yonki are friendly people inhabiting the Eastern Highland of Papua New Guinea. Yauna river is their home where they fish as well as hunt for wild game in the nearby jungle. However, in 2011 the national government started a construction founded by private investors aimed at building one of the largest dams in the country. Majority of the Yonki people will have to abandon their territory and to be reallocated from Kainantu town all the way to Lae. The large scale construction requires build of roads and lot of workers. This brings the first contact with civilization. The unknown till that moment feelings of greed, wrath and envy settle in the souls of Yonki people while they loose their identity exponentially.
